My name is Jayme Melescue, and I am an illustrator and writer.

I bring bright colors and mark making into illustration backed by thorough research, understanding, and enthusiasm for topics discussing interpersonal dynamics in scientific illustration and portraiture. I do a variety of writing, from creative horror/thriller fiction to editing and research for non-fiction and journalism.

It's not just a love for creating, but a love for observing, that fuels my passion in painting. If you pay enough attention, all beings--people and animals alike--are fascinatingly interesting. My imagination often gets the better of me, filling the gaps between fact and fiction, and ultimately creating a painting or novel that is so heavily inspired by my life that there's no room to question where my affection lies.

In my free time, I attend athletics--such as volleyball, basketball, and tennis, go on walks, read, play my instruments and write music, hang out with my friends, and call my family.
